WhatsApp’s goal of becoming a corporate haven has been taken a step further as the Meta-owned messaging platform has introduced new features. These include in particular The ability to search for companies more easilythe ability to make direct purchases through WhatsApp, and more.
WhatsApp will now let you search for businesses, big or small, by categories such as travel or banking. The company can also be searched by name. There will be a “Discover Business” option to easily search for a company, eliminating the hassle of looking up business phone numbers from their websites.
The company search is supposed to be secure and will be done in such a way that no one will ever know your account did the search. This service is currently being rolled out in Brazil, Colombia, Indonesia, Mexico and the United Kingdom. In Brazil, small businesses can also be searched for.
It should be noted that WhatsApp Business Search is dedicated to its own business platform.
WhatsApp also offers debit and credit card payments to chats in Brazil, so making purchases directly from the messaging app isn’t difficult. This feature was first launched in India with the introduction of the ability to shop on JioMart from WhatsApp. This new feature comes after WhatsApp introduced WhatsApp Pay in Brazil, one of its main markets, but it was stopped by the country’s central bank. However, it was launched in India.
Not yet in France
