Samsung will release Upgrade to OneUI 5 for the Galaxy S22 series by the end of October. The news was presented during the Samsung Developer Conference 2022 (the conference dedicated to developers of Seoul).
include firmware Android 13 And a host of added features, such as tighter material integration, improved dynamic themes and a new dynamic lock screen, multi-user support for the first time on Samsung, and new smart multitasking gestures (double swipe from bottom to top for quick split screen and swipe from the top right corner for a popup view), text recognition in Gallery, Privacy Center and more.
The arrival of this version in October may anticipate the distribution of Android 13 for a month compared to the OneUI 4 update, which arrived last year in the Galaxy S21 series in November and which in turn arrived almost a month after the rapid release of OneUI 3.0 for the Galaxy S20 series in December 2020.
Samsung has just released OneUI 5 Beta 4 for the Galaxy S22 series but it is unclear if this is the latest version before the final firmware arrives. The Galaxy S22 series will be the first on schedule to receive OneUI 5 by the end of October.
Samsung will release the full OneUI 5 launch roadmap later this month.
