While the goal of the development strategy “Living in the German-speaking community in 2040” is to ensure a high quality of life in the region, commercial and industrial developments must take place in harmony with nature while keeping in mind the challenges of the climate. and social justice.
Five axes have been identified within the framework of the “Living in Eastern Belgium in 2040” strategy: intergenerational justice, innovation and digitization, training and social affairs, identity as well as the sustainable aspect of the region.
