Of all the smartphone makers, Samsung provides the best software support, promising four major OS updates for its devices after launch and continuing to release security patches for another year.
Moreover, the company continuously releases monthly security patches for its premium and flagship devices in a timely manner at the beginning of each month.
Samsung first released the November security patch for the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Z Flip4 at the end of October as part of the One UI 5 seconds beta, and is now rolling out an update for the global variant of the Galaxy Z Flip4 with One UI 4 based on Android 12.
This month’s patch fixed three critical vulnerabilities and several security issues, and Samsung fixed 26 vulnerabilities associated with One UI’s own interface.
Samsung has released the November security patches for the Galaxy S22 and other series
The November 2022 patch for the Samsung Galaxy S22 is currently available in the US and Ireland, but a wider release may begin in the coming days. The November 2022 patch is also available for Samsung Galaxy S10e, S20, S21, S22, Note 20, Fold 5G, Fold4 and Tab Active 3 LTE series.
Samsung usually releases the latest security patch for all of its premium and flagship devices during the first week of the month, but this time the company was late, possibly because it is busy with rolling out the stable Android 13 for its devices. However, Samsung has already updated several devices with the November patch.
