Nvidia is taking a new step with its graphics cards based on the Ada Lovelace architecture. The manufacturer has officially introduced three models of graphics cards for the GeForce RTX 4000 series: RTX 4090, RTX 4080 16GB and RTX 4080 12GB. The RTX 4070 Ti is expected to be the next generation of graphics card to hit the market. Ada Lovelace GPU Architecture: What’s New?

Following the Turing architecture based on 12nm pattern using TSMC’s FinFET process, introduced with the first RTX graphics cards (20 series), the Ampere architecture took over the RTX 30 GPUs, based on the 8nm pattern resolution developed by Samsung. Along with architecture Ada Lovelace also comes DLSS 3.0, which is an evolution of Nvidia’s famous upscaling technology. This new version of DLSS, which allows us to significantly increase in-game performance by calculating a lower native definition, and then performing an upgrade to the target definition by AI, is currently exclusive to RTX 40. Ada Lovelace also integrates a function Shader Implementation Reorder (SER). This technology improves GPU resource utilization by realigning shader workloads, improving efficiency and possibly tripling ray tracing performance, as well as increasing in-game frame rate by up to 25%.
