Redmi announces the new Redmi Note 12 range with four models

Redmi, one of Xiaomi’s brands, has unveiled its new mid-range “Redmi Note 12”. Four models have been revealed for the Chinese market ahead of their worldwide launch in early 2023. On paper, Redmi still manages to impress by offering technical data sheets with rare elements even in the premium segment.

Redmi Notes 12 Pro +

Let’s start with one of the best equipped models, the Redmi Note 12 Pro +, with a name that’s as complex to pronounce as it is intriguing. The two most striking points are, without a doubt 200 MP main sensor (Samsung HPX, 1/1.4 inch, f/1.65, OIS) and it charges 120W to power a 5,000mAh battery. The main camera can shoot at 12 megapixels thanks to pixel binning.

At 8.98m thick and 208.4g in weight, it also includes a 120Hz FHD+ Oled panel that peaks at 900cd/sqm and is protected by Gorilla Glass. Added to this is the Dimensity 1080. The chip is backed by 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of FUS 2.2 storage.

The rest of the photographic composition is more classic: 16MP front, 8MP ultra-wide angle and a dedicated 2MP macro camera.

The device comes with MIUI 13 Android 12 version, side fingerprint sensor, facial recognition system, 3.5 jack input and two headphones. 5G, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 complete the technical data sheet.

Redmi Note 12 Exploration Edition

Surprisingly surprising, an unpublished render has surfaced that basically contains the Note 12 Pro + technical data sheet but with Charging 210 watts is too much. Enough to charge your smartphone in 9 minutes. The phone here makes use of a custom chip capable of handling up to triple 100W according to Xiaomi.

It obviously keeps the 200MP sensor, but it’s also lighter (187g) and thinner (7.9mm). This version includes cooling with a 3000 mm² vapor chamber.

Redmi Note 12 Pro phone

Redmi Note 12 Pro replaces the 120W charger with a 67W one. The photography part is less impressive, too. It features IMX766 with OIS, and a 50MP sensor. It maintains an 8MP sensor for ultra wide angle and 2MP macro. It weighs the same as the Exploration version, 187g and displays the same thickness, 7.9mm.

Redmi Notes 12

At the end of the conference, Xiaomi presented the cheapest model in its range, the Redmi Note 12. It has a 12 Hz OLED screen, with a brightness of up to 1200 cd / m² and 100% DCI-P3 depending on the brand. Its chip is Snapdragon 4 Gen 1, 6nm 5G chip.

The battery side is based on 5000 mAh recharged at 33W. There is a fingerprint sensor on the side and there is an input jack.
