The start of the game was clearly in favor of the visitors, who notably had the opener at the end of their foot on a Peter Keller shot cleared on the line (12th). Instead, Stavelot took the lead with a dream goal from a distance (1-0, 17′). After half an hour, the locals showed their efficiency by making it 2-0 on their second chance. After Michael Zeimmes missed another chance in Amel (33rd), Stavelot made the difference before the break by making it 3-0 (45th). Coming back from the locker room, Amblève didn’t give up, but Charly Meesen hit the post (51st).

Yannick Goenen first failed the goalkeeper (74th), but in the end he managed to score the final goal (3-1) two minutes before the end. This success puts Stavelot back in the lead with a two point lead over his evening opponent.

Duel from bad this Friday night

After the shock between the leaders this Thursday evening, this Friday ends with a duel from bad off between Welkenraedt (12th with 14 points) and the Alliantie van de Hoge Venen (which shares last place with Waimes Faymonville, with 10 points). Suffice it to say that this duel will be expensive in the context of the fight to maintain, when we have already passed halfway through the championship.
