Official OPPO Reno9, Reno9 Pro and Pro +: here are specifications and prices

The Chinese manufacturer OPPO recently presented the three smartphones in the series for the Chinese market OPPO Reno9characterized by a design that unifies them aesthetically (and that looks very similar to the predecessors of the Reno8 range), but equipped with technical specifications that place them in different segments of the Android smartphone market.

The most interesting are certainly the models advantages and Pro+ the first time in the series Rhine of the Chinese giant, they only offer memory configurations 16 gigabytes of RAM memory. Let’s find out all the details of these three new smartphones.

OPPO Reno9 Pro + is the spearhead of the range

Let’s start with the strength of the trio, namely OPPO Reno9 Pro +. Like its brothers, it has a display AMOLED out 6.7 inches with resolution Full HD+ and refresh rate a 120Hzthat hides a reader optical fingerprints and is interrupted at the top by a centered circular hole that houses a photographic sensor 32 megapixels. However, it is the only one that offers a curved display around the edges, reducing the overall dimensions compared to its siblings: although it is the most “compact” in layout of the three, it is also the thickest and heaviest (it is made of aluminum and glass front/rear frame).

The back features a design that incorporates the concepts introduced with the series OPPO Reno8: In this case, the whole island that houses the cameras protrudes from the body and houses three sensors, one wide-angle 50 megapixels with f/1.8 aperture, 6P lens, PDAF and optical stabilization, an ultra wide angle 8 megapixels with a 120-degree viewing angle (which also acts as a macro sensor) and a depth-of-field sensor 2 megapixels.

OPPO Reno9 Pro+ It is the Chinese manufacturer’s first smartphone to allow pairing Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 from Qualcomm with the proprietary NPU MariSilicon X, which are even more powerful in terms of artificial intelligence than the current top of the range of the house or the OPPO Find X5 Pro (you can find our review here). So to support the SoC, we find 16 gigabytes RAM memory e 256 or 512GB of storage space.

Complete in terms of connectivity (5G networks, wifi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, dual band gps, NFC, USB-C) it is the only one that offers stereo audio. In addition, it houses a battery of 4700mAh which supports wired fast charging a 80W, which can fully charge the smartphone in 31 minutes (goes from 0% to 45% in 10 minutes). The operating system closes the package, which is ColorOS 13 based on Android 13.

OPPO Reno9 Pro loses a photo sensor and the Qualcomm SoC

Let’s take a step down and move on to the mid-range model or OPPO Reno9 Pro. It’s slightly larger in plan than its premium sibling, but at the same time undoubtedly thinner (except for the protruding cameras) and lighter, probably due to the less roomy look around the battery 4500mAh that “only” loads a 67 w.

Apart from the significantly less pronounced curvature of the display, the front practically corresponds to the model with the “+”; On the back, however, although the design is very similar, the entire island that houses the photographic compartment does not protrude: in fact, only the circular portholes that house the two existing sensors (as opposed to the three of the older brother) protrude offered).

OPPO Reno9 Pro offers a dual rear camera setup consisting of a main sensor 50 megapixels with 7P lens and an ultra wide angle sensor from 8 megapixels with viewing angle a 112 degrees.

As far as performance is concerned, we find a MediaTek solution here, resp Size 8100 manufactured at 5 nanometers, supported by the NPU MariSilicon X to improve performance in the field of artificial intelligence. Like the “+” model, it offers 16 gigabytes RAM memory, no matter whether you choose the cut 256GB Storage space or the with 512GB.

Finally, the equipment is good from a connectivity point of view (it loses the dual-band GPS but gains that Bluetooth 5.3) and also in this case the operating system Color OS 13 related to Android 13

OPPO Reno9 aims for all proven specifications

At the base of the range, at least for the moment, is OPPO Reno9, a smartphone that has a lot in common with the mid-range model (same body, same display, same battery, same number of photo sensors and same operating system).

OPPO Reno9

From a performance perspective, we find here 8th or 12GB RAM memory e 256 or 512GB Storage space next to the proven SoC Snapdragon 778G 5G from Qualcomm, but without the NPU MariSilicon X to refine performance related to artificial intelligence.

As for the rear cameras, which in turn are housed in an island on the bodywork from which only the two large round portholes protrude, this time the ultra wide-angle sensor disappears: the two sensors are in fact a wide-angle sensor. angle 64 megapixels and a depth of field sensor 2 megapixels.
