The Google Pixel Watch has been subjected to countless leaks in recent months. During last night’s Google I/O 2022 conference, the Mountain View company finally revealed its presence and some elements, without revealing the entire technical data sheet.
As for its launch, the long-awaited smartwatch will be available simultaneously with the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro during the fall. In terms of design, we therefore find a round and curved screen, as rumors have already suggested. The whole thing will be topped off with a very elegant crown on the right side.
Maps, wallet and home automation
The Pixel Watch will integrate a wide range of Google services and applications, from Assistant to Google Wallet (to pay for example in a restaurant) via Google Maps to orient yourself in the city. The US group promises a seamless browsing experience and smart notifications, without adding anything else.
It will also be possible to manage home automation from the wrist: for example, the connected light bulb can be turned off or on directly from the watch face. Useful, if you are used to losing your phone in bed. The idea is to always have everything at hand.
Fitibit as a beating heart
The Californian company also mentions Fitbit’s deep integration of activity tracking. And for now, that’s it: Google promises to reveal more details in the fall.
Much more at Google I/O 2022
Google I/O was also an occasion to present several New features for Android 13 For Bluetooth headphones and wireless headphones, but also an interface designed specifically for tablets and a completely redesigned Google Wallet. Without forgetting of course Google offer Pixel 6 aand Google Pixel Buds Pro and Pixel Tablet.
