Hunter x Hunter is back after the longest hiatus in history
Togashi’s career began to take off in 1990 when he published the supernatural martial arts manga Yu Yu Hakusho. Eight years later, he published Hunter x Hunter, the story of a young boy named Gon Freecss who takes the hunter exam in hopes of finding his father, who abandoned him when he was a child. Hunter x Hunter has received praise for its plot and characterization, and as of July 2022, it has sold over 84 million copies.
Nippon Animation’s 1999 adaptation of Hunter x Hunter was praised for its animation quality and pacing, with 62 episodes in total. The 2011 revival of the Madhouse series, under the direction of Hiroshi Kojima, received further praise for its outstanding animation quality and fast pace. Thanks to these excellent mods, fans of the Hunter x Hunter series have been able to enjoy the story in a whole new way.
