Body of Israeli boy killed in West Bank returned by Palestinians

“Following the efforts of the security forces and in cooperation with the Palestinian authorities, the body of an Israeli man who died in a car accident in Jenin on Tuesday has been handed over to his family in Israel,” the Israeli army said in a statement.

Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid on Wednesday threatened harsh reprisals against the kidnappers of a young Israeli who his family said was abducted by gunmen from a Palestinian hospital in the occupied West Bank after a car accident.

Tiran Fero, 17, a member of the Druze minority, was hospitalized after a car accident in Jenin in the occupied West Bank.

Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz thanked the Palestinian Authority on Twitter for “this humanitarian gesture that follows a wretched and inhumane act”.
