Many sources close to the sector have long suggested that Apple is considering raising the prices of the iPhone 14 series: a prediction also confirmed by well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. The average selling price, also known as ASP, will increase with the debut of the iPhone 14, and it’s no surprise that Foxconn is the company that will benefit the most.
While Kuo does not disclose the amount of the increase, previous information indicates that it is Cupertino is considering raising $100 on all modelsstarting with the basic standard iPhone.
Four new iPhones have been launched this year
Apple is introducing four new models this year: the 6.1-inch iPhone 14, the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max, the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro, and the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max.
“Hon Hai/Foxconn is one of the winners of the iPhone 14 series ASP increase. It has estimated that the iPhone 14 series ASP will increase about 15% (compared to the iPhone 13 series ASP) to $1,000-1,050 because of what Kuo explained in a tweet at the time. Earlier this week, the iPhone 14 Pro price hike and higher shipping rate.
“Hon Hai is a leading EMS company for the iPhone 14 series (with an order rate of 60-70%), so its revenue will benefit greatly from the increase in the iPhone 14 series ASP. It is no wonder that Hon Hai has raised the full-year performance to an “increase”.
The iPhone 14 announcement is expected to come in September with an event that will take place earlier than usual with it debuting in stores later this month.
