Apple cuts AirPods 3 orders by 30%

Apple was going to cut its production and orders AirPods 3. Cupertino launched the new earphones last October, after months of rumors.
This is the latest model of the AirPods line which has so far been a huge commercial success. However, something is wrong because the AirPods 3 line will not perform as expected by the California manufacturer.

According to Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst and connoisseur of things from Apple, the AirPods 3 will be part of the “Failed product segmentation strategyfrom Apple.

The product question will bemuch weaker“From this point of view for the AirPods 2, and for this reason, Apple will do it reduced orders from its suppliers by more than 30% For the second and third quarters of this year (period covering April to September).

Apple may also consider discontinuing the “original” AirPods Pro immediately after the launch of the AirPods Pro 2 (which is expected to happen in the second half of this year) to avoid “Repeat the same mistake“.

In fact, the AirPods 2 remained on sale after the launch of the AirPods 3 and are still available at a cheaper price.
A market situation that leaves the AirPods 3 in a strange middle ground between the AirPods 2 and AirPods Pro: The Pro model is more expensive, but features an in-ear fit and active noise cancellation.
